About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Designing and building scalable, robust Android applications using Kotlin and modern architecture patterns (e.g. MVVM)
Applying SOLID and clean code principles, using Gradle and unit tests (JUnit, Mockito) to ensure high code quality
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, product owners and stakeholders, and contributing to technical and architecture discussions
Designing fit-for-purpose, scalable solutions and participating in code reviews
Mentoring other engineers, supporting technical strategy, and promoting engineering best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong commercial experience in core Android development with Kotlin
Hands-on experience with modern Android architectures (e.g. MVVM) and scalable mobile applications
Solid understanding of SOLID, clean, maintainable code and Gradle-based Android projects
Practical experience with unit testing (JUnit, Mockito)
Proven experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with business stakeholders
Experience mentoring engineers and presenting technical concepts to internal teams
Reactive programming experience (RxJava, Kotlin Coroutines / Flow) - extra points
UI automation testing (Espresso) - extra points
Experience with Continuous Integration (e.g. CircleCI) - extra points
