About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide graphic production expertise and administrative support to the creative director, graphic designer, and internal stakeholders
  • Prepare marketing asset designs for digital channels including Amazon, social media, and websites
  • Design and prepare author support assets such as PowerPoint templates and author videos
  • Prepare front covers and distribute them to archives and stakeholders
  • Coordinate with external vendors regarding completion and distribution of front covers
  • Shepherd back covers and audiobook covers through design, proofing, and production
  • Prepare backlist title cover updates for reprints
  • Deliver print-ready production files to print vendors
  • Sign off on production proofs
  • Distribute digital author photos to archives and stakeholders
  • Implement and uphold IVP’s visual identity and brand
  • Support the Bynder archive and work with the IVP Production Artist overseeing the archive
  • Purchase rights-managed images as necessary
  • Submit art licensing invoices to accounting
  • Communicate with and maintain art databases
  • Provide support to Designers
  • Organize systems, equipment, and Microsoft Teams workspaces
  • Support digital asset management and create and maintain electronic archives of graphic files
  • Complete assigned projects within allocated time
  • Perform team administrative duties
  • Complete final output for assigned projects in print or digital formats
  • Build relationships with print vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Respond to email inquiries, calendar invites, and instant messages
  • Partner with other teams, including graphic designers, on specified projects
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Affirmation of InterVarsity’s Statement of Faith
  • Portfolio of recent work
  • Tech-savvy and quick learner
  • Competent in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign and Photoshop
  • Experience with HTML is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and ClickUp a plus
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage your workload and work independently
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work and communicate well in remote and hybrid environment using cloud-based project management software
  • Ability to work well in a deadline-driven environment
  • Demonstrated ability and commitment to work in a diverse team environment
  • Prudence with confidential information
  • Flexibility to attend the Urbana Student Missions Conference every six years, Dec. 26-Jan. 1
  • Flexibility to attend the National Staff Conference every three years, approximately Jan. 2-7
  • Preferred: Associate Degree in Art or Design
  • At least 1 year of experience working with print files preferred for Associate Production Artist, Level 4
