About the role

  • Lead the strategic direction and lifecycle of a new developer platform for an enterprise, energy client.
  • Bridge the gap between high-level programme goals and technical execution.
  • Ensure delivery of robust, cloud-native solutions.
  • Define and drive the product strategy in close coordination with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Consult across various domains to identify and manage technical dependencies and interfaces.
  • Monitor interdependencies and provide comprehensive documentation to support informed, data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with platform leads and delivery teams to define and maintain detailed product and release specifications.
  • Own and maintain the product backlog, including creation of features, requirements, and user stories within Jira and Confluence.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience as a Product Owner or Senior Engineer within large-scale, complex organisational environments.
  • Proven track record in building developer platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and observability frameworks for cloud-native applications.
  • Direct experience working within high-availability or critical infrastructure environments (e.g., large-scale utilities or energy system operations).
  • Strong background in hands-on engineering, specifically providing tooling to support the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies, including practical experience leading sprint and quarterly planning sessions.
  • Proficiency in product management tools, specifically Jira and Confluence, for backlog grooming and roadmap visualisations.
  • Ability to produce high-quality product artifacts, including roadmaps, specifications, and feature backlogs.
  • Technical familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Kubernetes, and IAM/RBAC frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (minimum B2 level), with the ability to tailor technical information for diverse audiences.
  • Residency in the EU, EEC, UK, or Switzerland.
