About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and improve user-facing experiences across search, navigation, category pages, filters, and recommendations
Develop and maintain frontend applications with a strong focus on performance, scalability and usability
Contribute to backend services, APIs, and event-driven systems where needed
Help shape technical decisions across architecture, tooling and build vs buy questions
Work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to define and deliver impactful solutions
Take ownership from idea to production, including quality, performance and operational stability

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of experience building and shipping complex web applications
Strong frontend expertise with modern TypeScript-based frameworks
Solid full stack engineering skills and willingness to work across frontend and backend
Experience with server-side rendering and performance-oriented web development
Good understanding of system design, APIs, databases and cloud-based architectures
Product mindset and the ability to balance technical quality with business impact
Ability to ensure observability of systems in production, including metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting
Experience with backend technologies such as Kotlin / Spring Boot, event-driven systems (e.g. Kafka), and cloud environments (AWS), or strong ability to ramp up quickly
High level of ownership, self-direction and comfort working in an autonomous team
Strong communication skills in German and English
