About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the technical strategy and execution of natural gas power generation projects integrated with battery energy storage systems (BESS)
  • Build and scale a multidisciplinary engineering organization
  • Establish systems and standards for consistent project delivery
  • Provide technical leadership across development, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations
  • Develop engineering governance frameworks and scalable workflows
  • Recruit, onboard, mentor, and retain engineering talent
  • Oversee engineering execution across multiple concurrent projects
  • Ensure compliance with engineering codes and industry standards
  • Support commissioning and startup activities with technical guidance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 15+ years of progressive engineering experience within the power generation industry
  • Significant experience supporting reciprocating engine and/or gas turbine power plant projects
  • Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary engineering teams across mechanical, electrical, civil/structural, and instrumentation and controls disciplines
  • Experience managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously through development, design, construction, and commissioning phases
  • Strong familiarity with major OEM platforms such as Caterpillar, Wärtsilä, GE, and Jenbacher/INNIO
  • Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards, including NFPA, IEEE, ASME, API, and related regulatory requirements
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or equivalent professional accreditation preferred
