About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the technical subject matter expert for blade integrity, reliability, and performance across the operating wind fleet.
Accountable for blade health programs, defect assessment, repair strategies, root cause investigations, and asset performance optimization to maximize turbine availability.
Support the development and execution of site and fleet Blade Health Management Plans.
Assess blade defects and determine appropriate repair, monitoring, mitigation, and risk-management actions.
Perform root cause analyses for blade failures and develop engineering recommendations.
Review and validate findings from UAV and drone-based blade inspections.
Analyze SCADA, condition monitoring, and operational data to identify blade-related performance issues.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Composite Materials Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
3–10 years of experience supporting operational wind assets in blade engineering, blade reliability, rotor engineering, or blade maintenance programs.
Strong understanding of composite materials, blade structures, manufacturing quality considerations, damage mechanisms, and repair methodologies.
Experience reviewing and applying OEM service bulletins, engineering specifications, repair standards, and technical documentation.
Experience utilizing SCADA, condition monitoring systems, and operational performance data to support engineering decisions.
Working knowledge of enterprise CMMS or asset management systems.
