About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, evolve, and maintain backend services using Kotlin, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security for core banking systems in a mission-critical environment.
- Contribute to the architecture and implementation of cloud-native solutions on AWS, using EKS/Fargate for container orchestration, SQS for messaging, DynamoDB for persistence, and applying AWS Well-Architected Framework practices to ensure robustness, cost efficiency, and compliance.
- Implement messaging and streaming integrations with Kafka and SQS, ensuring resilience, monitoring, and reliable event processing in distributed systems.
- Develop and automate unit, integration, and performance tests, build robust CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to the continuous improvement of code quality.
- Build, maintain, and evolve Docker containers, implementing orchestration via Kubernetes (EKS) to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available deployments.
- Actively participate in technical discussions, code reviews, the definition of architectural patterns, and design decisions—questioning approaches, proposing improvements, and sharing knowledge with the team.
- Apply security-by-default practices, such as IAM least privilege, encryption at rest and in transit, and secure secrets management—anticipating risks and ensuring solution compliance.
- Explore and validate the use of AI tools to support development, critically reviewing AI-generated outputs and promoting responsible innovation in day-to-day work.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (Product, QA, SRE, Security), participating in agile ceremonies, technical alignments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
