About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and enhance mission-critical backend services using Kotlin
Operate in AWS cloud environments, ensuring security, performance, and resilience
Work with messaging and streaming technologies (Kafka, SQS)
Build and run unit, integration, and performance tests
Run Docker containers in orchestrated environments with Kubernetes (EKS)
Actively participate in technical decisions, proposing improvements and innovative solutions
Apply security best practices (IAM least privilege, encryption, secrets management)
Use and validate AI tools to increase productivity and improve code quality

Requirements

What you’ll need

Kotlin: strong experience in backend development
AWS: hands-on experience with EKS/Fargate, SQS, DynamoDB; knowledge of the Well-Architected Framework
Messaging & Streaming: Kafka and SQS
Testing: unit, integration, and performance testing
Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS)
AI Tools: experience with assistants such as Devin, Claude Code, and/or Kiro; ability to critically validate AI-generated output
