About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze phone configuration documentation and create integration specifications aligned with Intermedia’s Call Server requirements
Lead implementation and validation of changes supporting new and updated phone models
Investigate complex issues involving VoIP, SIP, networking, endpoint devices, and device configuration
Create and maintain technical configuration guides for Development, QA, and Support teams
Implement analytics and usage metrics
Profile and optimize the performance of the phone provisioning server
Develop and maintain high-quality, maintainable object-oriented code
Provide technical guidance and contribute to development and testing best practices
Continuously develop technical knowledge of VoIP technologies, endpoint devices, and provisioning mechanisms
Collaborate regularly with Product Owners and Development and QA Leads

Requirements

What you’ll need

A degree or relevant technical education in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Experience with server-side development in Java
Linux server development experience, including Nginx, Tomcat, and command-line tools
Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or Percona
Basic knowledge of VoIP, SIP, and IP networking
Basic knowledge of network programming, including sockets and TCP/UDP
Basic understanding of IP security principles, including TLS and certificate management
Experience using Wireshark or tcpdump for network analysis and troubleshooting
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of IP phones, endpoint devices, device configuration, and provisioning mechanisms is desirable
Willingness to continuously learn and develop expertise in telecommunications, endpoint provisioning, and related technologies
