About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare and submit permit applications via online portals to regulatory agencies across the D.C. Metro region
  • Communicate directly with agency officials to confirm submittal requirements, verify processes, follow up on application statuses, and resolve permit-related issues
  • Schedule and participate in meetings with agency representatives and clients as needed
  • Track and manage permit applications through all review stages, ensuring timely responses to comments and required revisions
  • Conduct quality control reviews on client-provided permit documents prior to submission
  • Identify potential permitting risks and schedule impacts, and collaborate with Senior Project Managers to develop mitigation strategies
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries via email and phone, maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Prepare project updates, reports, and presentation materials for client meetings
  • Provide regular internal updates on permit status and contribute to team meetings and project planning discussions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 5 years of project coordination within the construction, permitting, engineering, or related industries
  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong organization, communication, and project management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
  • Experience coordinating with municipal or regulatory agencies within the DC-metro area preferred
  • Familiarity with permitting software or online submission portals preferred
  • Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able to reliably commute to client locations within the DC Metro area
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Ability to work regular business hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 PM EST
