About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and manage federal, state, and local environmental permit applications
- Assist in the preparation of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation and supporting environmental analyses
- Advise clients on environmental permitting strategies and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure technical accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project scope, budget, schedule, and client expectations
- Support the development of technical proposals and client deliverables
- Prepare Environmental Management Plans and related compliance documentation
- Support administration and compliance activities related to Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) and Stormwater Management (SWM) programs
- Mentor junior environmental staff through technical guidance and project collaboration
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
- 3–7 years of environmental consulting experience
- Experience with environmental permitting and regulatory compliance
- Proven knowledge of Clean Water Act and related regulations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) or Professional Wetland Delineator (PWD) certification preferred
- ISA Certified Arborist credential preferred
- Experience supporting NEPA documentation and environmental review processes
- Experience conducting or supporting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
- Proficiency with GIS software and spatial data analysis tools.
