About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and submit permit applications via online portals to regulatory agencies across the D.C. Metro region
- Communicate directly with agency officials to confirm submittal requirements, verify processes, follow up on application statuses, and resolve permit-related issues
- Schedule and participate in meetings with agency representatives and clients as needed
- Track and manage permit applications through all review stages, ensuring timely responses to comments and required revisions
- Conduct quality control (QC) reviews on client-provided permit documents prior to submission
- Identify potential permitting risks and schedule impacts, and collaborate with Senior Project Managers to develop mitigation strategies
- Respond promptly to client inquiries via email and phone, maintaining a high level of customer service
- Prepare project updates, reports, and presentation materials for client meetings
- Provide regular internal updates on permit status and contribute to team meetings and project planning discussions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 5 years of project coordination within the construction, permitting, engineering or related industries
- Strong organization, communication, and project management skills
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred)
- Experience coordinating with municipal or regulatory agencies within the DC-metro area (preferred)
- Familiarity with permitting software or online submission portals (preferred)
