About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Prepare and manage federal, state, and local environmental permit applications, including coordination through agency review and approval processes
Assist in the preparation of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation and supporting environmental analyses
Advise clients on environmental permitting strategies and regulatory requirements through desktop assessments and detailed permit matrices
Collaborate with project managers to ensure technical accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project scope, budget, schedule, and client expectations
Support the development of technical proposals and client deliverables
Prepare Environmental Management Plans and related compliance documentation
Support administration and compliance activities related to Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) and Stormwater Management (SWM) programs
Mentor junior environmental staff through technical guidance and project collaboration

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
3–7 years of environmental consulting experience
Experience with environmental permitting and regulatory compliance
Proven knowledge of Clean Water Act and related regulations, including §7 of Endangered Species Act and §106 of National Historic Preservation Act
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
