About the role

Architect and implement resilient, always-on infrastructure to ingest data, starting with our privacy-first mobile telemetry product.
Integrate data from a variety of SDKs and build a rock-solid foundation for large-scale data handling.
Partner with AI and Data teams to ensure the platform supports advanced ML systems.
Champion an SRE culture by building proactive monitoring and systems that detect issues before they impact customers.
Define a clear path for onboarding existing systems and customers onto the new platform.
Contribute to the maturation of release and deployment practices across the company.
Optimise costs and reuse infrastructure wherever possible to maximize efficiency.
Provide operational support to ensure smooth day-to-day performance.

5+ years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering roles.
Strong experience with at least one major public cloud (we primarily use AWS).
Awareness of how infrastructure and platform decisions impact downstream systems.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containers, and Terraform.
Practical experience deploying and operating Kafka-based infrastructure.
Solid scripting/software skills in Python.
Desired: Experience with telemetry or IoT workloads.
Desired: Familiarity with Databricks.
Desired: Background in infrastructure teams supporting high-scale data or ML applications.
