About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide clinical leadership, operational oversight, and workforce development across multiple MRI sites within the East Metro Melbourne region
  • Ensure high-quality imaging standards, optimised workflows, safe and compliant practices
  • Support advanced MRI services and continuous improvement initiatives across MRI systems and vendors
  • Drive clinical excellence and support staff training and assessment
  • Standardise MRI practices across sites
  • Report to the MRI Manager and Regional Manager
  • Travel between Vermont Private Hospital, Camberwell, Cheltenham, and Hawthorn-FMIG as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in MRI
  • Demonstrated leadership and team development experience
  • Experience managing or supporting multi-site MRI services (desirable)
  • Advanced MRI clinical expertise across multiple systems/platforms
  • Strong understanding of MRI operations, workflow, and quality systems
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills
  • Multi-vendor MRI experience (Siemens, GE, Philips)
  • Bachelor of Medical Imaging (or equivalent)
  • AHPRA Registration and Radiation Use License
  • SMIRT MRI Accreditation (Level 1 minimum)
  • Ability to work the required rostered hours for this position
  • Ability and willingness to travel between sites within the region
