About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide a high standard of nursing care for inpatients and outpatients undergoing diagnostic and interventional radiological procedures
- Service private hospitals and community-based clinics in the Geelong region
- Provide pre-, peri- and post-examination care for patients undergoing General X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine and Fluoroscopy
- Respond effectively in emergency situations
- Work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Contribute as a key team member in a specialised medical imaging environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current AHPRA registration
- COVID vaccination essential as per Victorian Government requirements
- Cannulation qualification required; training support provided to achieve this outcome
- Strong patient-centred care approach
- Ability to effectively build patient relationships
- Strong organisational, communication, interpersonal and time-management skills
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Radiology experience desired but not essential; on-the-job training provided
