About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide a high standard of nursing care for inpatients and outpatients undergoing diagnostic and interventional radiological procedures
  • Service private hospitals and community-based clinics in the Geelong region
  • Provide pre-, peri- and post-examination care for patients undergoing General X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine and Fluoroscopy
  • Respond effectively in emergency situations
  • Work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Contribute as a key team member in a specialised medical imaging environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • COVID vaccination essential as per Victorian Government requirements
  • Cannulation qualification required; training support provided to achieve this outcome
  • Strong patient-centred care approach
  • Ability to effectively build patient relationships
  • Strong organisational, communication, interpersonal and time-management skills
  • Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Radiology experience desired but not essential; on-the-job training provided
