About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide deep technical expertise in Naval power and energy systems, including hardware performance, physics, component controls, and supervisory system controls
- Deliver client-facing models, simulations, and reports
- Develop, test, and validate software for supervisory control of Naval power systems
- Develop software to implement supervisory controls for power systems
- Support technical execution of power system modeling and simulation projects
- Build and validate models using MATLAB/Simulink
- Build and validate models for real-time simulation environments used in hardware-in-the-loop environments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain a DoW Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 8+ years of professional experience in electrical power systems and/or microgrids
- Deep expertise with MATLAB/Simulink
- Experience with supervisory control methods for power systems, especially maritime systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to deliver clear technical reports and concise briefings to stakeholders
