About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute merger and acquisition integration projects and large-scale transformation initiatives
  • Serve as liaison between executive leadership, cross-functional teams, acquired entities, and external partners
  • Define project objectives, integration roadmaps, timelines, success measures, and governance structures
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, objectives, dependencies, and business alignment
  • Lead M&A integration initiatives and coordinate cross-functional workstreams
  • Oversee transformation projects involving processes, systems, teams, and operational objectives
  • Manage internal resources, third-party vendors, and project stakeholders
  • Develop project plans, monitor progress, and ensure milestones are achieved within timelines and budgets
  • Manage project changes, scope adjustments, and implementation activities
  • Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and address issues
  • Develop communication plans and provide leadership updates on status, risks, decisions, and outcomes
  • Use project management tools, metrics, and reporting frameworks to measure progress and success
  • Maintain project documentation, integration plans, decision logs, and governance records
  • Partner with business leaders, operational teams, technology teams, Finance, HR, and external stakeholders
  • Evaluate processes and implement scalable operational improvements
  • Demonstrate project leadership and strengthen project management and organizational change capabilities
  • Champion IOA values of integrity, leadership, accountability, and professionalism

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field required; MBA preferred
  • 8-10+ years of project management and P&C insurance experience
  • Experience leading M&A integrations, organizational transformations, or large-scale enterprise initiatives preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Strong project management, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across multiple teams
  • Experience creating executive-level reports, presentations, and project documentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated success leading complex projects from planning through execution and delivery
  • Strong communication, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Proven leadership capability with a track record of driving results and managing competing priorities
  • Candidates in Eastern Time Zones
