About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create service blueprints, ecosystem maps, and experience frameworks for patients, caregivers, and clinicians
  • Establish early-stage UX visions for mobile apps and connected digital devices
  • Ensure seamless integration with packaging and support channels
  • Connect user insights and Jobs-to-be-Done to UX metrics, KPIs, and business goals
  • Align product development, engineering, and clinical partners on core user flows
  • Present UX visions to agile squads and executive leadership using storyboards, prototypes, and journey narratives
  • Translate insights from customer service, sales, clinical partners, and the diabetes community into actionable design requirements
  • Collaborate with User Research teams on iterative testing
  • Guide the design of safe, effective, and delightful experiences
  • Mentor other designers, foster a customer-centric culture, and optimize internal team processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or Graphic Design
  • 8+ years of experience in healthcare UX/Product Design
  • Proven track record of shipping mobile healthcare applications
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating design strategy, deep design thinking, storytelling, and polished execution
  • Include passwords if portfolio is protected
  • Prior agency background is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with diabetes care or management is a plus
  • Ability to travel within the US at least once per quarter
  • Proven ability to build abstract concepts into tangible product strategies
  • Exceptional visual and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to diagram, prototype, and pitch ideas in remote or hybrid settings
  • Skill in managing pressure, navigating organizational friction, and building consensus across cross-functional teams
  • Experience leading and influencing cross-cultural, distributed, and remote teams
  • High level of business acumen in complex, international healthcare environments
  • Proficiency with Figma, Framer, and Keyshot
  • Ability to work on-site out of an Insulet office in Acton, MA or San Diego, CA
