About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and implement automation frameworks using Espresso, UI Automator, and Appium;
Execute and maintain end-to-end and instrumentation tests on physical devices and emulators;
Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions), including parallelization and orchestration;
Monitor and manage device farms (local and cloud — Firebase Test Lab, AWS Device Farm, BrowserStack);
Collect quality metrics and create dashboards and alerts to analyze stability and performance;
Collaborate with development teams to analyze failures, triage bugs, and continuously improve processes;
Ensure security, accessibility, and compliance with Android platform policies.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience;
Experience developing Android applications and tests using Android Studio;
Hands-on experience with Espresso, UI Automator, and Appium (when required);
Proven experience integrating with CI/CD pipelines and in test parallelization/sharding;
Experience running tests at scale on emulators and physical devices;
Strong ADB skills and a solid understanding of Android platform fundamentals (Activities, Services, Broadcasts, Permissions, Intents);
Excellent understanding of synchronization and mitigation of test flakiness in UI tests;
Ability to analyze logs and traces (logcat, dumpsys, Perfetto, Systrace) to debug failures.
