About the role

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize services and APIs in Java (Spring Boot or similar frameworks);
  • Implement integrations between systems and relational and non-relational databases;
  • Ensure scalability, security, and performance of backend applications;
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs and resolve technical dependencies;
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, coding standards, and best practices;
  • Perform testing and participate in code reviews to ensure delivery quality.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in backend development with Java
  • Advanced English for client meetings;
  • Experience with modern frameworks (Spring Boot, Quarkus, Micronaut, or similar);
  • Knowledge of relational databases (SQL) and familiarity with NoSQL;
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize services and APIs in Java (Spring Boot or similar frameworks);
  • Implement integrations between systems and relational and non-relational databases;
  • Ensure scalability, security, and performance of backend applications;
  • Collaborate with frontend developers for API integration and resolution of technical dependencies;
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, coding standards, and best practices;
  • Perform testing and participate in code reviews to ensure quality of deliverables.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs;
  • Basic knowledge of frontend (HTML, CSS, JavaScript and/or React/Angular/Vue);
  • Version control with Git. Nice to have: Experience with Docker/Kubernetes;
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and deployment pipelines;
  • Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban);
  • Knowledge of Python;
  • Knowledge of automated testing (JUnit, Mockito);
  • Knowledge of Big Data
