About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute to evolution of Ads suite and build world-class reporting solutions
- Ensure timely, accurate, and actionable data insights for advertisers and retailers
- Work closely with Product Designers, Product Managers, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, and cross-functional partners
- Process petabyte-scale data and deliver reports essential for billing, strategic decision-making, and partner management
- Improve and modernize ads platform and raise quality bar across the organization
- Contribute to vision, strategy, and development of multi-platform reporting system
- Advocate for data quality, correctness, scalability, and latency standards
- Spearhead new initiatives, code, document components, and write/review system design documents
- Partner with other teams to gather customer requirements and plan strategic initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent proven industry experience (4+ years)
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering
- Comprehensive understanding of distributed systems
- Proven experience with data processing technologies such as DBT and Airflow
- Experience with common web frameworks such as Rails
- Highly proficient with SQL, capable of writing and reviewing complex queries
- Ability to design for scale with the entire system in mind
- Solid communication skills, comfortable seeking and receiving feedback
- Strong analytical and debugging skills
- Strong sense of ownership with large codebases and diverse product suites
- Collaborative mindset to partner with engineers, designers, and PMs
- Strong organizational skills with ability to influence stakeholders at manager, director, and VP level
