About the role
- Provide expertise and analysis for complex technical accounting topics, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), and other areas like leases, equity, and acquisitions.\n
- Conduct research on technical accounting and reporting matters, drafting thorough memos and presentations with well-supported conclusions.\n
- Remain current on new accounting standards and regulatory developments, assessing their impact on the Company, and leading implementation efforts when applicable.\n
- Help ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and all required financial disclosures.\n
- Collaborate with the accounting team to establish and operationalize accounting guidance for complex and non-routine transactions and non-standard contracts.\n
- Develop and maintain accurate accounting policies.\n
- Support training efforts for internal teams to promote understanding and compliance with technical accounting principles.\n
- This role reports to the Director of Technical Accounting and New Product Initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Accounting with a CPA license required.\n
- 9+ years of experience in public accounting and/or corporate technical accounting functions.\n
- Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP and technical accounting matters, with proven experience conducting research and drafting position memos.\n
- Experience collaborating across departments and serving as a subject matter expert on technical accounting topics.\n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams effectively.\n
- Exceptional organizational skills and proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.\n
- Hands-on experience with financial systems like Oracle, SEC reporting tools (e.g., Workiva), and advanced knowledge of Excel or Google Suite tools.\n
- Experience managing complex audits and reviews with external auditors.
