About the role
- Design Scalable Financial Data Solutions – Develop robust data models, pipelines, and reporting systems that drive informed decision-making across teams.
- Ensure Compliance & Governance – Embed “compliance by design” principles to uphold SOX standards, streamline audits, and enforce data governance.
- Champion Data Integrity – Establish rigorous validation and monitoring frameworks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability in financial data.
- Lead & Develop Talent – Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing analytics team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Engineering to align data strategies with business objectives and operational needs.
- Leadership Communication – Presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, impactful manner.
- Cross Functional Collaboration – Partnering with stakeholders and product managers to translate requirements into scalable system designs.
Requirements
- Have a BS or MS in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field or equivalent experience and have 10+ years across analytics engineering, AI/ML, and data analytics.
- 5+ years managing technical teams with a clear progression of impact and seniority.
- Strong SQL and data engineering fundamentals, including experience with Snowflake, dbt, and BI tooling (e.g., Mode, Looker, Tableau)
- Experience managing large, complex data pipelines, ensuring data quality, compliance, and traceability
- Experience enforcing data governance policies, including access controls, change management, and lifecycle management
- Deep expertise with financial data models, accounting data structure, and business systems (e.g., Oracle, Adaptive, Workday, Salesforce)
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to align technical and non-technical teams
- Proven leadership experience in high-growth, fast-pasted environments.
