About the role
- Provide leadership and guidance within the QA department; act as subject matter expert
- Lead manual testing and the automation of testing processes
- Analyse requirements and develop test scenarios
- Monitor and report automation environment and support testing documentation
- Create automation testing strategies and plans; develop and maintain automated tests
- Manage and configure test environments; integrate automated tests into CI/CD processes
- Evaluate, select, and implement automation tools; review automated test code and infrastructure
- Optimise automated test performance and resolve issues in automation processes
- Actively participate in process improvements to increase QA quality and efficiency; develop QA KPIs and quality metrics
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure product quality goals are met; interact with clients/internal stakeholders regarding automation testing
- Participate in project planning and assessment from a QA perspective; deliver high-quality deliverables to support customer requirements
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience as a QA Engineer
- 2+ years of work experience in an Agile / Scrum environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of test automation processes for APIs, SDKs, and tools such as Cypress, Postman, etc
- General knowledge of at least one database management system (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Experience in working with or testing web services and microservices (REST services)
- Proficiency with software management systems (preference for JIRA)
- Robust analytical and organisational skills; adept at multitasking
- Good English speaking and writing skills (B2+ lvl)
- Experience providing leadership, mentoring junior and mid-level team members
- Experience designing and implementing automation strategies and CI/CD integration
