About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create scalable data foundations within cross-functional project teams
- Break down data silos and build robust infrastructures
- Partner with clients from the initial idea through to implementation
- Take architectural responsibility for building modern data platforms
- Perform structured migration of existing on-premises architectures to the cloud-based Microsoft Fabric environment
- Implement highly efficient ETL/ELT pipelines and structure lakehouses
- Foster development of junior colleagues through mentoring
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in a STEM field or a comparable discipline
- Several years of professional experience in Data Engineering
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Fabric/Azure
- Experienced in working with lakehouses, Dataflows, data pipelines, Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, OneLake, and Delta Lake
- Expertise in Python (especially PySpark) and T-SQL
- Experience designing architectures in the cloud
- Very good German skills (at least C1) and good English skills
