About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support network build out and deployments to the C2BMC Test Facility for the Missile Defense Agency on the IRES contract
Manage troubleshooting and configuration of VMware
Work on complex assignments with minimal supervision
Provide root-cause analysis for recurring or critical problems
Collaborate with system administrators, network engineers, and cybersecurity administrators
Perform vulnerability remediation and mitigate cybersecurity risks
Conduct daily system monitoring, backup, and upgrades
Document system changes and actions
Advise Government customer on system status and optimization
Assist with the deployment of new virtual machines
Administer and troubleshoot virtualization environments
Perform patching and system audit log reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of general (full-time) work experience
5+ years of directly related experience (mix of Network and Virtualization)
1+ years of experience in a management or leadership role
Experience in Internet Protocols (DNS, HTTP, SMTP, SSL)
Firewall configuration and troubleshooting
Multiple network types of telecommunications infrastructures
Effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio
Deep understanding of Foundational VCF Infrastructure including Virtualization (vSphere), Networking (NSX) and Storage (vSAN)
Must be able to use SDDC Manager for system maintenance
Fundamental understanding of traffic flows through logical routers in an NSX environment
Must be able to configure distributed stateful firewalling, NAT, load balancing and micro segmentation using NSX
Experience with design, installation, upgrading, and migration of storage using VMware vSAN
Current DoW 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CySA, etc.) or higher
Active DoW Secret Security Clearance
