About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Implement, troubleshoot, and sustain hybrid environments for the Missile Defense Space Enterprise Architecture
Work with a team that manages the full lifecycle of a secure, air-gapped on-premises infrastructure
Administration, lifecycle management, and security hardening of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.0 appliance suite
Design and implement secure, scalable cloud architectures (VCF 9.0, AWS GovCloud, Azure for US Government)
Implement and sustain Container Platforms such as VKS (Kubernetes v1.35), Docker, and Podman
Identify and define requirements for new systems/system modifications, developing designs, and implementing and testing solutions
Conduct daily system monitoring, backup, and restoral, and application upgrades
Ensure system software installations, maintenance, break/fix activities, and cybersecurity mitigations are performed in accordance with established policies

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must have 2 or more years of general (full-time) work experience
Must have 1 or more years of direct IT experience
Familiarity with Cloud engineering experience
Experience with enterprise hardware stack (HPE Synergy, HPE Nimble, NetApp ONTAP, etc.)
Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerization
Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform
Understanding of networking, storage, identity, and DevSecOps pipelines
Must meet DoD 8570 certification requirements (e.g. Sec+) within 60 days of hire
Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
