About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for planning the migration of on-premises servers to OCI.
Implement and manage advanced cloud infrastructure solutions.
Ensure scalability, resilience, security, and performance of critical systems.
Configure servers, networking, storage, and cloud services.
Promote process automation and adoption of DevOps best practices.
Plan, lead, and manage the migration of on-premises servers (Windows and Linux) to OCI.
Perform daily infrastructure administration, ensuring stability and health of provisioned services.
Provision and manage OCI resources (Compute, Storage, Networking, IAM, etc.).
Operate and manage container clusters in Kubernetes environments.
Implement and manage the monitoring stack, ensuring full visibility and fast troubleshooting.
Monitor security posture and manage Backup and Disaster Recovery strategies.
Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation of architectures and operational procedures.
Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and business teams to meet evolving environment requirements.

Requirements

What you’ll need

OCI specialty: Proven experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments.
Migration: Expertise in migration processes (lift-and-shift and/or replatforming) using Oracle Cloud Migrations, CloudEndure, or similar tools.
Operating Systems: Windows Server (advanced administration 2016, 2019, 2022); Linux (advanced administration Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, Oracle Linux).
Virtualization & Containers: Strong experience in server virtualization and operational management of Kubernetes clusters, including use of kubectl for diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Helm: Knowledge of Kubernetes package management with Helm.
IaC: Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
Backup and Disaster Recovery: Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery strategies and tools in cloud environments.
Observability Stack: Practical experience implementing and using monitoring, logging, and tracing tools (OCI Monitoring, Logging, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Dynatrace).
Networking: Deep knowledge of network architecture (VPN, VCN, DNS, Load Balancer, Firewall).
Certification: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations or higher (OCI Associate/Professional).
OKE: Experience with Oracle Kubernetes Engine.
Identity Management: Experience with Active Directory and integration with OCI IAM.
CI/CD: Familiarity with continuous delivery pipelines integrated with Kubernetes (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
Multicloud: Knowledge of other providers (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
