About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze results of non-functional tests and define optimization strategies for applications;
- Propose, implement, and review source code improvements with a focus on performance, scalability, and resilience;
- Contribute meaningfully to the evaluation of algorithms, design patterns, and development best practices;
- Interpret bottlenecks and critical behaviors identified in performance tests, proposing structured solutions;
- Lead validation of implemented improvements, ensuring results meet defined non-functional requirements;
- Configure and instrument applications autonomously;
- Develop solutions for complex non-functional requirements;
- Ensure quality and completeness of technical documentation for implemented optimizations;
- Actively collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to resolve complex technical issues;
- Participate in technical meetings with development, architecture, and infrastructure teams, contributing in-depth perspectives;
- Prepare detailed technical reports and support decisions with consistent analyses.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proficient in Java (11 or higher), Python, and SQL;
- Extensive experience developing and optimizing Java applications using Quarkus and/or Spring Boot;
- Proven experience in microservices architecture;
- Experience with observability and OpenTelemetry (e.g., Dynatrace, Jaeger);
- Proficiency with version control tools (GitHub);
- Deep understanding of application performance, scalability, and resilience principles;
- Ability to analyze complex scenarios and propose high-impact technical solutions;
- Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns;
- Collaborative profile with the technical maturity to share knowledge and contribute to team growth.
- Solid experience with AWS and its services in production environments;
- Advanced experience with performance testing tools such as k6, JMeter, and/or Gatling;
- Experience with Kubernetes and containers in production;
- In-depth knowledge of Kafka and event-driven systems;
- Experience building and evolving CI/CD pipelines;
- Track record of meaningful technical contributions within engineering teams.
