Key responsibilities & impact

Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in databases
Analyze queries and transform them into more efficient versions
Work side-by-side with development teams to improve data access
Monitor environments and take action before issues occur
Contribute to the evolution of data architecture (on-premises + cloud)
Participate in decisions that directly impact application performance

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Oracle Database
Strong SQL skills (especially query optimization)
Experience analyzing execution plans and troubleshooting
Experience with cloud databases (such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure)
Good analytical skills and an investigative mindset
Preferred: Oracle Database certification
Practical experience with cloud-hosted databases
Knowledge of DB2
Knowledge of non-relational databases
