About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and manage technical and commercial matters arising from Statutory Undertakers across all DCO workstreams
- Translate and secure requirements into draft DCO application provisions and Third-Party Agreements
- Support delivery of the Third-Party Agreements programme, undertakings, commitments and assurances as client representative
- Develop and maintain interfaces with Statutory Undertakers
- Oversee and coordinate legal, side, framework and protective agreements required for a successful DCO Application
- Support the DCO Legal Lead and Stakeholder Team in identifying and incorporating technical and commercial requirements
- Ensure document control and track Third-Party Agreements, undertakings and commitments against programme and budgets
- Ensure adherence to the TPA Management Plan and provide weekly updates to the DCO Legal Lead
- Support production and implementation of the TPA Management Plan
- Organise and attend stakeholder meetings
- Coordinate interfaces between EIA, design and engineering, consenting teams and statutory undertakers
- Manage actions from the TPA Management Plan, Technical Working Groups and bilateral stakeholder meetings in relevant trackers and registers
- Develop specialist engagement with external third parties and stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience of the Development Consent Order Process and associated documents, or another similar route to powers
- Experience working within major infrastructure projects
- Experience negotiating third-party agreements, undertakings, commitments and assurances
- Ability to resource and prioritise statutory time limits
- Experience managing diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Experience managing, tracking and reporting budgets
- Effective analytical, communication and presentation skills
- RICS or RTPI qualification, working experience in these fields, or working towards the qualifications is ideal
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Ability to take initiative, manage and prioritise workloads, and meet tight deadlines
- Proficient in Excel for management, tracking and reporting
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint and SharePoint
- Ability to use digital tools innovatively and present visual information
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle essential
- Right to work in the UK, subject to employment checks
