About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Undertake infrastructure installation and maintenance work across the treated water network
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance
- Investigate faults and promote remedial work on a variety of flowmeters
- Improve the performance and efficiency of assets and activities within the treated water network
- Help reduce leakage, interruptions to supply, and operational costs
- Work alongside the Water Services team, wider Anglian Water teams, and contractor teams
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, efficient, and stable water network
- Support improvements to customer service and drinking water supply performance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Passion for electrical and mechanical engineering
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
- Electrical engineering skills with technical background to NVQ2 or equivalent
- BTEC certificate (or equivalent) in an electrical subject
- C&G Parts 1 and/or 2 in electrical engineering
- J557 mechanical to electrical conversion validated certificate
- Mechanical to electrical conversion knowledge
- Ability to work alone
- Ability to undertake logical problem solving and data interpretation
- Understanding of water operational activities ideally, including valve operations, data logging, metering processes, and hydraulics
- Full driving licence is essential
- Right to work in the UK
