About the role
- Analyze existing IT systems and derive technical measures to secure systems
- Design and assess secure system architectures as well as operational, hardening and migration concepts
- Support technical integrations, migrations and modernizations in security‑critical IT infrastructures
- Advise our clients on security requirements, system design and hardening strategies
- Participate in reviews, tests and audits to verify security and compliance requirements
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, develop methods and standards and take technical responsibility for topic or project components
Requirements
- Degree in IT or comparable technical education with relevant professional experience
- Experience and interest in designing technical security measures, system hardening, or working with security‑critical IT environments
- Solid knowledge of IT infrastructures, system architectures and operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux)
- Familiarity with established security standards (e.g., BSI, ISO 27001, CIS Benchmarks) and the ability to derive technical measures from them
- Ideally expertise in at least one focus area, e.g., system hardening, network security, or Zero Trust
- Interest in new technologies, scientific working methods and knowledge management
- Analytical thinking, structured working style, independence and a team player mentality
- Very good German and good English language skills are expected
