About the role

  • Support the design and development of new hardware and software platforms
  • Enhance development tools for software and hardware engineering
  • Support build and test automation (e.g., CI/CD)
  • Adapt Embedded Linux for our virtualization solution
  • Assemble toolchains for building our applications (e.g., Docker containers for software builds)

Requirements

  • Degree in a relevant discipline, e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications
  • Alternatively, demonstrable skills relevant to this position
  • Experience with embedded (Linux) systems
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and digital engineering
  • Confident working with Linux
  • Strong knowledge of C and Git
  • Interest in implementing secure boot (BIOS/Coreboot)
  • Ideally, experience with embedded Linux (Buildroot, Yocto, OpenADK)
  • Writing scripts and tools in Python, Bash, etc.
  • Experience in security (Secure Boot), hypervisor concepts, and Linux container concepts (LXC)
  • Experience in an agile environment (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Experience with Coreboot, U-Boot, LinuxBoot
  • Low-level Linux knowledge (kernel, drivers and system-level libraries, as well as POSIX functions and syscalls)
