About the role

  • Coordinate and execute monthly, quarterly and annual accounting closings.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and accounting reports.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP, etc.).
  • Perform account analyses and reconciliations.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
  • Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes.
  • Collaborate with external and internal auditors, providing necessary support and information.
  • Manage and review complex accounting entries and adjustments.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Analyze budget variances and provide financial insights.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP).
  • Experience with ERP systems (Protheus).
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Analytical ability and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
