About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Installation, configuration and commissioning of modern Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and Document Management Systems (DMS)
  • Maintenance of complex Windows system landscapes as well as performing software updates and release upgrades
  • Setting up, configuring and optimizing technical interfaces and performing data migrations
  • Analyzing and resolving technical issues via remote access at 2nd-level support
  • Close cooperation with 1st-level support on the client side for sustainable problem resolution
  • Direct communication with clients to analyze technical requirements and develop tailored solutions
  • Supporting IT consultants and project teams with technical questions
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation and knowledge bases
  • Working in a 19-member team divided into three specialized departments
  • Actively contributing to and continuously optimizing existing IT infrastructures and system landscapes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or completed training as an IT specialist for system integration, or an equivalent IT qualification
  • Professional experience as an IT System Engineer, System Administrator, IT Consultant, IT Support Engineer, Technical Consultant or similar roles
  • Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Windows Server environment
  • Experience administering complex IT infrastructures
  • Good knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, Active Directory, network communication or comparable technologies)
  • Experience with SQL and basic database understanding
  • Knowledge of at least one scripting language and the ability to analyze and understand scripts — without the need to develop software
  • Analytical thinking and enjoyment in understanding complex technical contexts
  • Strong service and customer orientation and confident demeanor in direct client interaction
  • Team player, proactive and structured working style
  • Fluent German skills and good English skills
