About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee the monthly renewal lists for all accounts assigned
  • Contact clients 60 days prior to policy expiration date to complete a Renewal Phone Survey
  • Determine if accounts need to be remarketed with another insurance company
  • Complete formal proposals for all renewals
  • Maintain the management system file for each client
  • Assist in writing new business as needed
  • Complete building cost evaluations
  • Review and process incoming mail daily
  • Assist clients with phone calls and respond to messages in a timely manner
  • Act as a liaison between the insurance company claims adjuster and clients
  • Update all policy information in the management system daily
  • Invoice clients for all agency bill policies
  • Negotiate with insurance company underwriters
  • Check policies for accuracy and send out to clients
  • Issue certificates or ID cards as needed
  • Keep suspense file on all transactions for each client

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 5 years commercial lines experience in an insurance agency
  • Knowledge in all lines of commercial insurance coverages
  • Current TDI General Lines Agent Property & Casualty insurance license
  • Strong communication, organizational and “people” skills
  • Computer literate including strong skills in MS Word and Excel
  • Good writing skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize urgency of work on a file
  • Experience on Applied Epic (preferred) or similar agency management software
  • Must have online rating experience with standard insurance companies
