About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide one-on-one therapy to clients in various settings including our Centers, homes and/or schools
  • Follow the behavior intervention plans designed by BCBAs to address specific behavioral goals and objectives for each client
  • Accurately collect and record data on client behaviors and responses during therapy sessions, ensuring data integrity and consistency
  • Collaborate with the supervising BCBAs to track and report client progress towards behavioral goals and adjust intervention plans as needed
  • Utilize approved behavior reduction techniques and strategies as outlined in the behavior intervention plan to address challenging behaviors
  • Assist clients in acquiring and developing functional skills, communication abilities, and appropriate social behaviors
  • Provide training and support to parents/caregivers on implementing behavior intervention techniques and strategies in the home environment
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards in behavior analysis while maintaining client confidentiality
  • Complete required paperwork, progress reports, and session notes
  • Maintain open communication with the BCBAs, parents/caregivers, and other team members involved in the client's treatment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Must meet all BACB eligibility requirements to obtain RBT certification
  • Ability to pass the required RBT certification exam within the training period
  • Must obtain and maintain required RBT certification through the BACB
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
  • Physical capacity to move quickly and respond to potentially aggressive behavior and de-escalate situations with clients
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, kneeling, bending, squatting, running and/or sitting in order to interact with clients
  • Must be able to move and lift up to 50 pounds to assist with client positioning or mobility
  • Adequate vision and hearing are required to ensure safety while working with clients
