About the role
- Provide one-on-one therapy to clients in various settings including our Centers, homes and/or schools
- Follow the behavior intervention plans designed by BCBAs to address specific behavioral goals and objectives for each client
- Accurately collect and record data on client behaviors and responses during therapy sessions, ensuring data integrity and consistency
- Collaborate with the supervising BCBAs to track and report client progress towards behavioral goals and adjust intervention plans as needed
- Utilize approved behavior reduction techniques and strategies as outlined in the behavior intervention plan to address challenging behaviors
- Assist clients in acquiring and developing functional skills, communication abilities, and appropriate social behaviors
- Provide training and support to parents/caregivers on implementing behavior intervention techniques
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Must meet all BACB eligibility requirements to obtain RBT certification
- Ability to pass the required RBT certification exam within the training period
- Must obtain and maintain required RBT certification through the BACB
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
- Physical capacity to move quickly and respond to potentially aggressive behavior
