About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design electrical systems across cost groups 440, 450 and/or 480
- Support projects through the relevant HOAI service phases
- Take ownership of specific project design tasks and deliverables
- Work directly with project managers and multidisciplinary design teams
- Produce technical calculations, drawings, specifications and reports
- Ensure designs comply with DIN/VDE standards and industry best practice
- Support the development of internal design standards and future workflows
- Assist with site supervision, inspections and project coordination
- Contribute to both national and international projects
- Travel to project sites across Germany when required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
- At least three years of relevant professional experience in Germany or the wider DACH region
- Electrical or MEP design experience within the construction industry
- Project experience in one or more sectors such as data centres, pharmaceutical, life sciences, commercial offices, infrastructure, residential or healthcare
- Experience across at least one of the following cost groups: 440, 450 or 480
- Familiarity with HOAI phases and the technical requirements at each stage
- Strong knowledge of DIN/VDE standards and recognised engineering practice
- German language skills at B2.2 level or above
- English language skills at B2 level or above
- Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
- Experience in BMS, fire alarm systems, IT, or high and medium-voltage systems will be considered an advantage
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or Revit and software such as Simaris, ETAP or HagerCAD would also be beneficial.
