About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Planning and development of software for special-purpose machines using programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
Testing and/or simulating software functionality on the PC using innovative virtual commissioning software
Creation of visualizations and operator/user interfaces
Independent project leadership in close coordination with the customer
Cost-conscious management of timelines and milestones and handover of the developed software to the customer
Independent execution of virtual commissioning
In certain cases, independent on-site commissioning at customer locations and integration into higher-level systems

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in electrical engineering, vocational training in electrical engineering with further qualification as a technician, Bachelor’s degree (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering) or equivalent
5 years’ experience in software development with CODESYS and Beckhoff / TwinCAT 3
Ideally, experience in robot programming (Stäubli, KUKA)
Independent and structured working style as well as strong analytical skills
Solution-oriented with excellent communication skills and customer focus
Business-fluent to very good German and English, both spoken and written
