About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and lead a companywide thought leadership strategy aligned to business priorities, brand positioning, and market opportunities.
  • Identify the themes, narratives, and point of views (POV) that differentiate ImpactAssets and ImpactAssets Capital Partners and advance our category leadership.
  • Build frameworks for consistent, high-quality executive thought leadership across channels.
  • Establish content governance processes, partnering with Marketing peers, Investment teams, Business Development and Client Engagement to ensure alignment on thought leadership themes, the content calendar and the roadmap that syncs with and grows with the multi-year business strategy.
  • Establish editorial standards, governance, and processes that maintain a consistent brand voice and tone across all platforms and content types.
  • Leverage SME expertise, translating technical expertise into high-quality content including whitepapers, reports, articles, videos, podcasts, and research driven narratives that can be used on our website, social channels, newsletters and in integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Manage external agencies, writers, analysts, and research partners as needed.
  • Conduct content audits to identify gaps and oversee content lifecycles with an eye to the business and personal cycles governing our target segments.
  • Conduct audience research to understand what resonates, what influences, and what drives engagement.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive narratives, and emerging conversations to inform content strategy, using data to refine messaging, optimize distribution, and measure impact.
  • Partner directly with senior executives to shape their voice, refine their POV, and translate their expertise into influential content.
  • Ghostwrite or work with contractors to develop keynote speeches, op-eds, LinkedIn posts, bylines, and longform essays.
  • Prepare executives for media, events, and industry conversations with messaging, briefs, and narrative guidance.
  • Perform additional responsibilities aligned with the scope of the role.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience working in content strategy, thought leadership, editorial, executive communications or product marketing, ideally in institutional asset management, and and bachelor’s degree in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrable history developing content that brings complex business topics to life with high value, discerning audiences: UHNWIs, family offices, foundations, corporates and their influencers.
  • Proven track record working directly with C-suite executives and high-profile principals.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills; translate complexity into clarity and insight.
  • Advanced business or financial degree a plus.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates thought leadership work (articles, speeches, reports, frameworks, etc.).
  • Deep knowledge of private markets, alternative asset classes, and impact investing, with the ability to flex into audience-specific messaging depending on context and channel.
  • Strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and how to design content to deepen SEO (Search Engine Optimization), AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization).
  • Proven ability to manage external writers, contractors, and content vendors alongside senior internal stakeholders, with strong vendor management and contracting experience
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, project management, and organizational skills, with the discipline to operationalize a content strategy and execute across multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Strong vendor management capabilities.
  • Advanced problem-solving, coupled with cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
  • Demonstrated focus on continuous improvement and ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams required.
  • Proficiency with cloud-based collaboration tools Box and Asana preferred.
  • Experience working in a virtual working environment preferred.
