About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
Implement effective behavior management strategies
Build strong student-teacher relationships and create a safe, joyful learning environment
Execute core best practices aligned with the Impact instructional model
Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans
Anticipate student responses and potential challenges

Collaborate with colleagues, support staff and other educators

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in education/related field
Must have or be eligible for certification by OSPI with an endorsement in Elementary Education (within 1-month of employment required)
Must have or be eligible to obtain a food handler certification
Must be able to obtain then provide an academic transcript if hired
Offer is contingent upon passing a fingerprint and background check
Complete SafeSchools trainings
Preferred: 1+ years experience delivering rigorous and engaging instruction in a K-12 setting
Preferred: Substitute Teaching certification
Ability to perform the stated physical demands, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, lifting and carrying
In-person availability for a part-time school-year position
