About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze customer needs, identify relevant requirements and translate them into a clear product roadmap
- Align requirements with all stakeholders and prioritize the product backlog based on business value and market needs
- Run continuous Product Discovery through customer interviews, Jobs-to-be-Done analyses and rapid prototyping cycles
- Define, prioritize and deliver features that simplify property management
- Manage the entire product lifecycle from user stories through implementation to the rollout of new features
- Be accountable for measurable product goals across module areas and use data and user feedback to validate product decisions
- Deliver user-friendly, high-performance and legally compliant solutions together with Engineering and Design
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts to ensure best practices and compliance requirements
- Plan, coordinate and track releases with Sales, Customer Success and Marketing
- Analyze KPIs and user feedback to continuously improve product performance and customer satisfaction
- Define and implement a clear product vision and differentiation strategy together with the Head of Product
- Support the development of the overall product, in particular rent and financial management, BKA (operating-cost accounting) and DATEV export
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree, e.g., in Business or Computer Science, or equivalent qualification – ideally with further training or experience in accounting/tax
- Several years of experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner in a SaaS environment
- Understanding of processes in German property management, through personal experience as a landlord or practical work in a property management company
- Knowledge of rent accounting, dunning processes and rent management
- Knowledge of operating and heating-cost settlement, including BKA and heating cost accounting according to HKVO (German Heating Costs Ordinance)
- Knowledge of DATEV interfaces and document/voucher management
- Knowledge of the relevant legal framework
- Strong analytical skills, structured working style and a feel for excellent user experiences
- Strong communication skills, team orientation and a hands-on mentality
- Confident use of product analytics tools such as Mixpanel or Amplitude
- Experience with prototyping and research tools such as Figma or Google AI Studio
- Experience with AI-assisted workflows, e.g., Claude Code
- Good sense of design principles and usability; hands-on design experience is a plus
- Fluent German (C1/C2 level)
- Good written and spoken English
