About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in regular meetings with Client Executives and teams
- Analyze HR trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues
- Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations
- Support day-to-day management, reduce legal risks, and support regulatory compliance
- Partner with the legal department and HR Leadership as needed
- Provide HR and performance management guidance, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions
- Improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Recruit, interview, and facilitate hiring for qualified applicants
- Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
- Assist with visa sponsorships and related HR matters
- Identify training needs for disciplines, teams, and individuals
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees on employee relations, performance, engagement, and people strategies
- Lead and manage HR programs and initiatives
- Consult with stakeholders to solve workforce challenges and drive continuous improvement
- Support employees and leaders throughout the employee lifecycle
- Partner with business leaders to align HR strategies with business goals
- Own HR program areas and improve HR services, tools, and support
- Own the campus talent pipeline and build university partnerships
- Represent IMEG at recruiting events and strengthen the employer brand and talent network
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resources preferred
- Professional Human Resources certification preferred, including PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
- Ability to keep information confidential and secure
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
- Ability to understand organizational hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and related administrative practices
- Excellent time management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks when appropriate
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Familiarity with human resource information systems (HRIS) and/or ability to quickly learn computer applications
- Working knowledge of compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to travel up to 25% with occasional overnight stays
