Key responsibilities & impact

Lead design efforts for the analysis of electrical systems
Collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to provide engineering solutions
Interact with clients and understand their needs
Document design decisions and monitor project design progress
Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices
Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work
Oversee projects through bidding and construction administration phase

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required
Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred
2 years of experience minimum required, 4 preferred, in the building design consulting industry
Proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications
Strong technical and analytical skills including knowledge of principles relating to circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics
Proficient with industry standard engineering software including lighting photometric calculation software and energy compliance software
Knowledge of Illumination Engineering Society (IES) Standards
Ability to train and mentor less experienced staff
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
