About the role
- Producing models and documentation by using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software
- Work closely with other Technicians/Coordinators, Designers, and Engineers on projects
- Work within the project’s monetary budget
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations
- Model, edit, rework, and update models and drawings as communicated by project designers through markups
- Work collaboratively with other team members to develop models and drawings
- Assist engineers and designers with field measurements of existing building systems and prepare models and drawings from field data
- Export documents and transfer files to clients
- Follow established standards for modeling and production of drawings and are of quality acceptable to the company
- Coordinate models and workflow between members of the design team
Requirements
- Associate degree or certificate in Building Information Modeling (BIM) preferred
- No experience required
- Revit skills desired
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of technical plans and models desired
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering as-built drawings desired
- Basic experience in the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of colleagues and clients
- Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
