About the role

  • Enforce metadata standards and implement governance frameworks
  • Drive KPI-aligned data quality across federal healthcare data environments within DoD
  • Establish and sustain robust metadata management processes
  • Ensure compliance with federal standards
  • Monitor governance effectiveness through measurable indicators
  • Serve as a policy enforcer and governance practitioner

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or database administration in federal or regulated environments
  • 3 or more years of experience working with enterprise data across multiple database types
  • Experience with relational, non-relational, and object-oriented databases, both on-premises and cloud-hosted
  • Demonstrated experience implementing metadata standards enforcement and governance frameworks
  • Knowledge of data quality management and automated monitoring systems
  • Understanding of federal compliance requirements and regulatory frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, DoD data standards)
  • Proficiency in developing KPIs and performance measurement frameworks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts into policy guidance and stakeholder-ready documentation
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
