About the role
- Enforce metadata standards and implement governance frameworks
- Drive KPI-aligned data quality across federal healthcare data environments within DoD
- Establish and sustain robust metadata management processes
- Ensure compliance with federal standards
- Monitor governance effectiveness through measurable indicators
- Serve as a policy enforcer and governance practitioner
Requirements
- 5 or more years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or database administration in federal or regulated environments
- 3 or more years of experience working with enterprise data across multiple database types
- Experience with relational, non-relational, and object-oriented databases, both on-premises and cloud-hosted
- Demonstrated experience implementing metadata standards enforcement and governance frameworks
- Knowledge of data quality management and automated monitoring systems
- Understanding of federal compliance requirements and regulatory frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, DoD data standards)
- Proficiency in developing KPIs and performance measurement frameworks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts into policy guidance and stakeholder-ready documentation
- Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
