About the role
- Architect & Automate: Build and maintain a stable, scalable AWS environment using Terraform, CDK, and CloudFormation
- Pipeline Refinement: Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless, automated software delivery
- Cloud Governance: Maintain and improve our AWS Landing Zone, manage multi-account structures, and oversee secure backup strategies
- Orchestration: Manage container orchestration via ECS and integrate serverless components like Lambda, EventBridge, and Step Functions
- Operational Excellence: Perform Well-Architected Reviews, implement cloud best practices, and lead cost-optimization (FinOps) initiatives
- Collaborate & Resolve: Work side-by-side with developers to troubleshoot performance issues and respond to incidents, ensuring high system reliability
Requirements
- 5+ years of DevOps experience, with at least 3 years focused heavily on AWS environments
- IaC Expert: Deep proficiency in Terraform is essential
- Containerisation proficiency: Extensive experience with Docker and ECS
- Infrastructure Mindset: Ability to manage AWS Landing Zones, multi-account structures, and perform Well-Architected Framework reviews
- Problem Solver: A self-starter committed to delivering technically excellent solutions and innovative approaches to challenges
